Acrylic on Birchwood Panel
Betty is putting in the work when it comes to self-acceptance! She's on a journey of self-discovery and is learning how to love the roly-poly in the mirror. Don't let her exoskeleton fool you, Betty loves all things soft and pink and pretty and hopes to bring her self-love journey into your home and heart!
Betty's portrait is painted on a birchwood panel with thoughtful details throughout. Her piece uses a range of techniques from the fine detailing on her body and face, to the very stylized illustrative tiling throughout and more painterly techniques in between. Just when you think you've finished taking in this piece, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find Betty's bathroom tiles carry over to the sides of her panel in a playful and considerate manner.
